QuickText – Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 2, 2026  ·  Package: com.crecker.quicktext

📋 1. Overview

QuickText ("the App", "we", "our") is a free Android application that allows you to send a WhatsApp message to any phone number without saving that number as a contact first. This Privacy Policy explains what information is involved when you use the App, who processes it, and what choices you have.

The short version: We (the developer) do not collect or receive any personal data on our servers. All data you enter stays on your device. However, the App uses third-party services — Google AdMob (advertising) and Google Speech Recognition (optional voice input) — that may collect data as described below.

📱 2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is saved exclusively on your device using Android's local storage (SQLite databases and SharedPreferences). It is never transmitted to our servers.

Message History

Every time you send a message, the App records it in a local history log containing:

You can view, search, and delete individual history entries or clear all history from the History screen at any time. You can also limit how many entries are kept via Settings.

Saved Messages (Templates)

If you save message templates, those texts and their timestamps are stored locally. You can edit or permanently delete any saved message at any time.

App Settings & Preferences

The following preferences are stored locally:

Uninstalling the App permanently removes all locally stored data from your device.

Data type Stored by Location User deletable?
Sent message history App (local) Device only Yes — in-app or uninstall
Saved message templates App (local) Device only Yes — in-app or uninstall
App preferences / settings App (local) Device only Yes — uninstall

🔗 3. Third-Party Services

The App integrates third-party SDKs that operate under their own privacy policies. We do not control the data collected by these services.

Service Purpose Data collected by them Privacy policy
Google AdMob Banner advertising Advertising ID, device info, IP address, app usage Google Privacy Policy
Google Play (In-App Review & Update) In-app review prompts & app updates Handled entirely by Google Play — no additional data collected by us Google Privacy Policy
Google Speech Recognition Optional voice input (phone & message fields) Audio data sent to Google for transcription when voice input is used Google Privacy Policy

✉️ 4. Data Passed to WhatsApp

When you tap Send Message, the App constructs a wa.me/ deep-link URL containing the recipient's phone number and (optionally) your message text, then opens it with Android's Intent system. This causes WhatsApp (owned by Meta Platforms, Inc.) to open with the number and message pre-filled.

We never receive, store on any server, or transmit to anyone the phone number or message text you enter — the data passes directly from the App to WhatsApp on your device. Once WhatsApp opens, Meta's own privacy policy governs how that data is handled.

🚫 5. Data We Do Not Collect

The developer does not:

📢 6. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App is free and supported by banner advertisements served by Google AdMob. To serve relevant ads, AdMob may collect and use:

AdMob operates as an independent data controller for the data it collects. We do not receive or have access to this data.

How to opt out of personalised ads

For full details, see the AdMob data usage policy and Google's Privacy Policy.

🎤 7. Voice Input

The App offers an optional voice input feature for entering phone numbers and message text. This feature uses Android's built-in Speech Recognition system (typically Google's speech recognition service).

When you tap the microphone button:

The voice input feature is entirely optional. You can use the App fully without activating it. Google's processing of voice data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

⚙️ 8. Your Rights & Controls

You have full control over the data stored by the App:

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK, or another jurisdiction with applicable data protection laws, the above controls allow you to exercise your rights to access, correct, and delete your locally stored data at any time.

👶 9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at support@spartapp.com and we will take appropriate action.

Users under the age of 16 (or the applicable age of digital consent in their jurisdiction) should use the App only with the consent of a parent or guardian.

🔒 10. Security

All data stored by the App resides in your device's private application storage, protected by Android's built-in sandboxing and your device's lock-screen security. We do not transmit your personal data over the internet.

No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong device PIN or biometric lock to protect your device and its data.

📝 11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the Effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via an update to the App listing on Google Play.

Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
