📄 1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how our team ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the mobile game Flying Hamster (the "App"), available on Google Play.

By downloading or playing Flying Hamster, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.

Short version: Flying Hamster does not collect or transmit any personal information on its own. Your high score is stored only on your device. The App uses Google Play Games and Google AdMob, which may collect certain data as described below.

🔍 2. Information We Collect

2.1 Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The App saves only the following item to your device's local storage:

DataStorage LocationPurposeTransmitted?
High score (integer) Android SharedPreferences Display best score in Game Over screen No — stays on device only

We do not read, access, or transmit this value. It never leaves your device.

2.2 Data Collected by Third-Party SDKs

The App integrates two Google services that may collect data automatically. This data is collected and processed by Google, not by us directly. See Section 4 for full details.

📢 Google AdMob

Advertising ID, device identifiers, IP address, app usage, and approximate location for ad delivery.

🎮 Google Play Games

Google account identifier, display name, avatar, and game scores for the leaderboard.

2.3 Data We Do NOT Collect

⚙️ 3. How We Use Information

Because we do not directly collect personal information, the only data processing we perform is:

All other data usage (advertising, analytics, sign-in) is handled entirely by Google's own SDKs and governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

🔗 4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy; we encourage you to review them.

Google AdMob Advertising

AdMob displays banner advertisements inside the App. To serve relevant ads, AdMob may collect:

  • Advertising ID (Android Ad ID) and device identifiers
  • IP address and approximate location derived from it
  • Device model, OS version, screen size
  • App usage and interaction data (e.g., whether an ad was viewed)
  • Diagnostic and crash data

You can opt out of personalised ads at any time via Android Settings → Privacy → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation.

Google Play Games Services v2 Gaming

The App uses Google Play Games Services to provide a global leaderboard. When you play with a Google account, Google may collect:

  • Google account identifier (used internally; not visible to us)
  • Display name and profile avatar (shown on the leaderboard)
  • Game scores submitted to the leaderboard
  • Sign-in events and gameplay metadata

Play Games sign-in is handled automatically; you can sign out or manage your game data at any time in the Google Play Games app.

Google Play Store Distribution

The App is distributed through Google Play. Google collects installation statistics, crash reports, and review data in accordance with its own policies. We receive only aggregated, anonymised analytics provided by the Google Play Console dashboard.

🤝 5. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent any personal information to third parties.

We may disclose information only in the following limited circumstances:

Because we do not directly collect personal data, there is in practice nothing for us to share beyond what Google's own SDKs transmit to Google.

🗂️ 6. Data Retention

6.1 Data Stored on Your Device

The high score is stored in Android SharedPreferences and is retained until you uninstall the App. Clearing the App's data via Android Settings will also remove it.

6.2 Data Held by Google

Data collected by Google AdMob and Google Play Games is retained in accordance with Google's own data retention schedules. You can manage or delete this data through your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com.

🔒 7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the App from vulnerabilities. The App does not maintain its own servers and does not transmit personal data to any infrastructure we operate.

Communication with Google services uses HTTPS/TLS encryption as required by Google's SDK design. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

👶 8. Children's Privacy

Important: Flying Hamster is rated for audiences of all ages on Google Play, including children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The App does not require account creation, does not ask for a name or email, and does not contain features that enable direct communication between users.

Advertising shown in the App is served by Google AdMob. If a device is identified as belonging to a child (e.g., through parental controls or Family Link), Google will serve non-personalised ads in accordance with applicable child privacy laws, including COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) and GDPR-K.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us using the details in Section 11 and we will take prompt action.
