Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to the Cellular Antennas Android application, package name com.crecker.cellularantennas ("we", "us", or "the app developer").

2. Data the app accesses or processes

Location data

• With your permission, the app accesses approximate or precise foreground location to center the map on your position and generate a report around a selected location.
• Location permission is optional. You can use the map, search by address, and select a location manually without granting it.
• The app does not request background location and does not independently store your device location in a developer-operated server.
• Location and map interactions may be processed by Google services used by the app, including Google Play services and Google Maps.

Searches and report locations

Address searches and reverse-geocoding requests are sent to the geocoding service provided by your Android device. This may include the search text or selected coordinates. Search results and generated reports are processed for the requested feature and are not stored on our servers.

Device, app usage, and diagnostic data

The app includes the Google Mobile Ads SDK. Before requesting ads, the app uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to determine whether a privacy message or consent choice is required. Ads are requested only when UMP reports that the app may request them. According to Google, the Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share IP address, user product interactions, diagnostic information, Android advertising ID, app set ID, and other applicable device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud-prevention purposes. An IP address may be used to estimate general location.

The app does not intentionally send your precise device location to the Google Mobile Ads SDK or use it to target advertisements. Location accessed for map and report features is handled separately from the advertising request.

Advertising and consent choices

Adaptive banner ads may be displayed on the Map and Reports screens. Depending on your region, choices, device settings, and Google's advertising configuration, Google may serve personalized, non-personalized, or limited ads. Personalized ads may use identifiers and information about activity or interests to select more relevant advertising. Non-personalized and limited ads may still use contextual information and process data for ad delivery, frequency capping, aggregated reporting, security, and fraud prevention.

UMP requests updated consent information when the app starts. Where a privacy message is required, Google presents the available choices before the app requests ads. Choosing not to allow personalized advertising does not necessarily remove advertisements; it may result in non-personalized or limited ads instead.

App updates and rating prompts

The app uses Google Play's In-App Update API to check for available application updates when the app starts and to download and install them in the background. This communicates with Google Play services on your device.

After you have viewed the report-results screen more than once, the app uses Google Play's In-App Review API to invite you to rate the app on Google Play. The review dialog is provided and controlled entirely by Google Play; the app developer does not receive your rating directly through this mechanism. Google Play may process the rating or review you submit according to its own policies.

Information stored locally

• Public cellular-antenna records downloaded from data.gov.il.
• App preferences, such as theme, language, map type, and marker-color mode.
• The timestamp of the most recent antenna-data synchronization.
• A counter of how many times the report-results screen has been opened, used solely to determine when to show the rating prompt.
• Temporary cached copies of public permit PDF documents you choose to open.

Android may back up or transfer eligible app data according to your device and Google account backup settings.

3. How data is used

• Display maps, your optional current position, antennas, and clusters.
• Search for places and generate nearby-antenna reports.
• Download, display, cache, and share public permit documents at your request.
• Remember app settings and refresh the public antenna database.
• Check for and install application updates through Google Play.
• Invite you to rate the app on Google Play after repeated use.
• Support advertising, analytics, diagnostics, security, and fraud prevention through Google services.
• Comply with legal obligations and protect users, the app, and third parties.

We do not sell personal and sensitive user data.

4. Third-party services and data sharing

The app communicates with or uses the following services:

• Google Maps and Google Play services: map display, device location functionality, and related map operations.
• Google Mobile Ads: advertising-related functionality, ad selection and delivery, measurement, diagnostics, security, and fraud prevention.
• Google User Messaging Platform: determining whether a privacy message is required, presenting consent or privacy choices, and recording the resulting consent status used to decide whether ads may be requested.
• Android geocoding provider: converting addresses to coordinates and coordinates to address descriptions.
• data.gov.il: downloading the public cellular-antenna dataset.
• Ministry of Environmental Protection document servers: downloading public permit PDF documents selected by you.
• Google Play In-App Update: checking for available application updates and downloading them in the background. Communication occurs between the app and Google Play services on your device.
• Google Play In-App Review: displaying an in-app rating dialog after repeated use. The dialog, any rating or review you submit, and its processing are handled entirely by Google Play.

These providers may receive technical information such as IP address, device and app information, requests, and interactions needed to provide their services. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, including Google's Privacy Policy and Google's advertising information.

When you choose to share an app link, report, or PDF, Android sends the content to the app or service you select. This user-initiated sharing is controlled by you and is then governed by the recipient's privacy practices.

5. Permissions

• Internet and network state: load maps, public data, documents, and third-party services.
• Approximate and precise location: show your current position and support location-based reports.

You can revoke location permission at any time in Android Settings. The app remains usable with manual map navigation and address search.

Where required, Google UMP displays privacy choices before ads are requested. If Google requires an ongoing privacy-options entry point for your region, a Privacy choices item is shown in the app's Settings screen. You can use it to review or change the choices offered by Google. You can also manage or delete the Android advertising ID in your device's privacy settings.

6. Data security

App data is stored in Android's private app storage. Supported service connections use transport encryption where provided. Google states that data collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK is encrypted in transit using TLS. Some public legacy permit documents may be delivered by a government document server over an unencrypted HTTP connection; these requests do not intentionally contain user-submitted personal information.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

7. Retention and deletion

• Local antenna data and preferences remain until replaced, cleared through Android Settings, or removed when the app is uninstalled, subject to Android backup and restore behavior.
• Cached PDF files are temporary and may remain until Android or the app clears the cache, you clear app storage, or you uninstall the app.
• The app does not provide user accounts and we do not maintain an account-linked personal database for this app.
• Third-party providers retain data according to their own policies and legal obligations. This includes advertising and consent information processed by Google.

To remove app-held data, clear the app's storage or uninstall it. You may also reset or delete the Android advertising ID through your device's privacy settings and manage Google activity through your Google account.

8. Children

The app is a general-audience utility and is not directed specifically to children. We do not knowingly request names, contact details, or account information from children.

9. Public information and accuracy

Antenna and permit information comes from public government sources. The app is not an official government service and does not guarantee that source data is complete, current, or error-free.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, third-party services, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or its Google Play listing where appropriate.
